AllMusic Review by

Distributed in Europe, the Kuschelrock series is often uneven in its attempts to throw pop hits of all stripes together in one package, taking little consideration into the fact that most people don't have wildly diverse taste in music. The 12th volume is broad in a bad sense, attempting to appeal to a wide group of listeners the whole time, when it would only appeal to some groups some of the time. The time covered ranges from the mid-'80s through the late '90s, and a very haphazard assortment of artists appear within close proximity. Included: Rod Stewart's "I Don't Want to Talk About It," K-Ci & JoJo's "All My Life," Wet Wet Wet's "Julia Says," Elton John's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," and Tina Arena's "If I Was a River."
