Composers Henry Jackman and Matthew Margeson deliver an agile, high-energy score for Matthew Vaughn's film adaptation of the popular graphic novel Kingsman: Secret Service. Brimming with empowered cinematic themes and plenty of well-placed spy film nods, they've captured the film's mix of jacked-up superhero pomp and austere British pageantry. The uplifting orchestral motifs early in the score mix with bits of dirty electronica and electric guitar as the tensions build and develop into well-made, if somewhat familiar, action sequence themes. It's the third collaboration between Jackman and director Vaughn following 2010's Kick Ass and 2011's X-Men: First Class, and they're proven a complementary match in the big-budget action realm.
