Kingpins Only rounds up the Greedy Green roster led by Killa Tay, along with a few guest appearances by other West Coast gangsta rappers like Yukmouth and Mac Mall. Overall, this compilation is rather typical for Bay Area hardcore rap: the lyrics are angry, bitter, and obsessed with the harsh realities of the street life; the production blends the traditional funk sound of the West Coast with the bass-heavy lo-fi sound of the Dirty South; and the overall feel is uncompromising and undeniably underground.
