King of the Brooklyn Delta is Brooklyn-based singer and multi-instrumentalist David Hamburger's debut disc. He has an engaging writing style in a David Bromber/Dan Hicks sort of way. Hamburger has spent years teaching and backing up many New York-area songwriters. This CD ought to allow him to step out alone. Highlights are the romantic title cut and "You Can't Tell Where the Train's Gone," along with the wry "Your Hair" and "Laundromat of Ill Repute," or " A Little Caffeine." David is a great picker on guitar, steel and dobro.
