In the early '80s, Kansas vocalist/songwriter Steve Walsh struck out on his own with the poppy hard rock outfit Streets, which released its debut album, 1st, in 1983. This King Biscuit Flower Hour: In Concert release preserves a show recorded in Pittsburgh on October 28, 1983 -- so, as you might expect, the set list concentrates heavily on material from that first album. The sound quality is quite good, and the style is very much of the early '80s; plus, since (as of 2000) the band's studio albums are no longer in print, King Biscuit Flower Hour: In Concert is also the first stop for anyone not owning any Streets albums.
