AllMusic Review by

Trumpeter Freddie Hubbard's November 1981 engagement at San Francisco's legendary Keystone Korner was extensively recorded and the highlights were released on three LPs; November 29th's material has since been reissued on a single CD. Hubbard was matched with tenor-saxophonist Joe Henderson, vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson, pianist Billy Childs, bassist Larry Klein, and drummer Steve Houghton for performances that were often fairly lengthy. Keystone Bop consists of a 17-minute version of "One of Another Kind" and nine-minute renditions of Hutcherson's "The Littlest One of All" and the standard "Body and Soul"; both of the latter are on the CD. The results are predictably excellent. The other LPs in this series are Classics and A Little Night Music.
