AllMusic Review by

The veteran 1980s Bronx proto-hip-hop group returns after a five-year hiatus with a set that sticks close to its tradition of performing spare, quirky R&B that sounds as naturally at home in the art house as it does in the club. Songs like "Everything Goes," "Insane," and "Gimme a Blast," made up of nothing more than a bassline, a drum track, and some vocals, pack more atmosphere into their skeletal arrangements than a host of contemporary big-budget productions.
