AllMusic Review by

Though humor probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind when remembering the music of Hank Williams, he probably should receive more credit for his rather sharp wit, finding the tragic irony in the lives of the characters in his songs. That being said, this collection, despite having some classic material like "Move It on Over," "Honky Tonk Blues," and "Mind Your Own Business," contains too many of Williams' spoken recitations like "Just Waitin'," "Everything's Okay," and "I've Been Down That Road Before" to be considered a real quality collection; plus, it's not always that easy to hear the real humor in songs like "I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive" and "Nobody's Lonesome for Me" in the first place.
