AllMusic Review by

Smash soundtracks are almost always guaranteed a sequel and so it is with Juno, whose second serving of songs gets a pretty clever title with Juno B-Sides: Almost Adopted Songs. Cutesy not clever dominates the day on the cuts within, beginning with an a cappella rendering of the "Twentieth Century Fox" theme by Kimya Dawson, the film's mascot. This is a pretty effective line drawn in the sand, as it either inspires fits of giggles or convulsions. If you like it, you'll love the rest of this record, as it's filled with songs that were not quite good enough to be on the first Juno soundtrack, but only by a little bit. For those who don't love Dawson, there's some Belle & Sebastian and Buddy Holly, which fit into the precious nature of the rest of the record, giving it something of an anchor to keep the rest of this from totally floating away into the precious ether -- but chances are, if you're sufficiently in love with Juno to need a second soundtrack, you won't mind all the cutesy tunes that this serves up, either.
