Juice/Quiet Lies Review

by Richie Unterberger

Juice Newton's two most popular albums, 1981's Juice and 1982's Quiet Lies, are combined onto one CD on this Australian release. While not precisely the same thing as a best-of compilation, it does include no less than six of the seven Pop Top Forty hits she chalked up ("Angel of the Morning," "Queen of Hearts," "The Sweetest Thing (I've Ever Known)," "Love's Been a Little Hard on Me," "Break It to Me Gently," and "Heart of the Night") as well as historical liner notes. For Newton's more pop-oriented fans who want something more than a greatest-hits collection, this is a well-assembled big bang-for-the-bucks package.
