AllMusic Review by

Although credited to Joey Dee, the two original soundtrack albums that comprise In Hollywood (Hey Let's Twist! and Two Tickets to Paris) are various-artist affairs with contributions from Jo-Ann Campbell, Gary Crosby, Teddy Randazzo, and Dee's Starlighters backing an assortment of vocalists. Despite a few pop ballads and orchestral tracks, most of the songs are in alignment with the twist craze. Jeri Lynne Fraser's "Teenage Vamp" is a camp classic, and a few of Dee's biggest songs, such as "Roly Poly" and "Peppermint Twist, Pt. 1," are included. In Hollywood is full of twistin' fun and offers a few oddities for collectors, too.
