A major mover and shaker in the late '90s anti-folk sweepstakes, Bendik makes a big splash with this, his first official recording available for public consumption. The music runs all the over place, taking in everything from straight-ahead rock & roll to hip-hop to R&B to a track that even sounds bluesy in spots, all of it with Bendik's unique lyrical take. Doing all the vocals and playing all the instruments himself, there's a solid approach to the music here that never wavers into D.I.Y. overkill and you'll find yourself singing long in spots, despite yourself. Highlights include "New Baggage," "Inconsiderate," "Out of Me," and "Stick It in Your Mouth." This is solid music with a distinct viewpoint that's refreshing, a solid effort.
