All of Meritt's LPs state "Limited Edition for Collectors Only" and unfortunately that has become true as all of the albums went out of print. Fans of early jazz are advised to pick up any one they see, for each of the LPs contain music not available previously and sometimes not since. On this album (the second of three in the Potpourri series) there are 20 performances (around an hour of music) by a variety of top classic jazz artists including Coot Grant and Wesley Wilson (accompanied by Fletcher Henderson's Orchestra with Louis Armstrong), King Oliver, Fletcher Henderson, Junie Cobb, Duke Ellington, Red Nichols, Cab Calloway, Frankie Trumbauer, Adelaide Hall (with Art Tatum), Lee Wiley, the Washboard Rhythm Band and Frankie "Half-Pint" Jaxon. Lots of near-classic performances that will be difficult to find.
