Jazz for a Romantic Evening combines 13 laid-back tracks of pleasant vocal material from Mel Tormé, June Christy, and Carmen McRae, alongside instrumental tracks by Harry James ("When It's Sleepy Time Down South"), the Gerry Mulligan Quartet ("I'm Getting Sentimental Over You"), and Benny Goodman ("Alone Together").
