This little-known LP would be worth picking up if only for the occasionally hilarious wisecracking of Eddie Condon, trumpeter Wild Bill Davison and trombonist George Brunies. However there is also a fair sampling of fine Chicago Dixieland from these unique veterans along with clarinetist Tommy Gwaltney, pianist Don Ewell, bassist Bill Goodall and drummer Frank Marshall. Particularly enjoyable are "At the Jazz Band Ball," Brunies's vocal on "Sister Kate," "That's a Plenty" and "I've Found a New Baby."
