While popular artists like the Prodigy and the Chemical Brothers add more of a traditional rock sound to their dance music, such DJs as Roni Size and DJ Krust remix their songs to straight-ahead dance perfection, sans rock thunder. The two tracks (Roni Size's "It's Jazzy" and DJ Krust's "Maintain") are remixed two times each on this single, from the versions that originally appeared on the popular dance compilation V Classic. "It's Jazzy" appears first as a "Felix Road Mix"; the title is repeated over and over atop some jazzy samples sped up by dance beats. In its original mix, the track is similar but without the accentuations. DJ Krust's "Maintain" contains vocals courtesy of Morgan, and appears first as an icy Dave Angel remix and again in its original form, which is over ten minutes long. For more of these musical soundscapes, be sure to check out the full-length V Classic album, which is loaded with similarly remarkable sounds.
