It's Good to Be King Review

by Stephen Thomas Erlewine

The second official single from Wildflowers -- "You Wreck Me" was a video/radio single toward the end of 1994 -- "It's Good to Be King" was one of the highlights in an album filled with great songs. It was one of the more laid-back numbers, and it made for a nice, mellow radio tune. As a single package, "It's Good to Be King" was simply adequate, backed by only one B-side -- an acoustic version of the charming "Cabin Down Below" which doesn't add much to the original version. Only hardcore collectors need to seek this single out. ["It's Good to Be King" was released in three formats: a CD single, seven-inch vinyl and cassette single.]
