This Italian compilation features 16 recordings presumably purloined from RCA Victor Records featuring some of Glenn Miller's biggest hits of the late '30s and early '40s. At least a couple sound like airchecks rather than studio recordings, but for the most part these are the original hit recordings (or, rather, copies of same), many of them signature tunes for Miller, like "In the Mood," "Tuxedo Junction," and "Pennsylvania 6-5000." There are numerous other Miller compilations, many of them from more legitimate sources, that duplicate these tracks and are recommended over this one. But as long as this release is purchased at a budget price, it may satisfy the curiosity of a Miller neophyte.
