In Session is yet another collection of Van Morrison's Bang material, repackaged and not really dressed up. This one at least has "T.B. Sheets" and the early versions of "Madame George," "Ro Ro Rosey," and "He Ain't Give You None." There's noting terribly wrong with this stuff -- it does feature Van Morrison, inspired and trying to find his way. But aside from "Brown Eyed Girl" and his cover of "Chick-A-Boom," there isn't anything particularly right about it, either. "T.B. Sheets" is compelling because it's a real live story, an autobiographical entry in Morrison's vast oeuvre. For those who don't already have this stuff and have everything else, this is a nice addition, but for those who are just digging deep into Morrison's brilliant 1970s material, it should be a last consideration.
