As the flood waters of electronica rise and swell, its fluid deeps grow as well. Irma's In Flux is a collection of such depth in dance music. This price fixe lunch sampling succeeds well because each work is of a similar formula. While the artists here strive to declare the possibility of electronic production, they are collectively seduced into creating merely dance floor booty shakers. Of course, there is nothing wrong with that, but it does tend to lower standards. The Italians give us Techno, Jungle and House beat music with, when present, peculiarly American vocal and melody lines.
