Eric Clapton & Friends: A Benefit for the Crossroads Centre at Antigua captures Clapton's 1999 performance at Madison Square Garden, which also featured guest appearances from Sheryl Crow, David Sanborn, and Mary J. Blige. The 17-song set list includes a somewhat routine selection of Clapton's hits, including "River of Tears," "Tears in Heaven," "Wonderful Tonight," and "Layla," but his collaborations with the aforementioned guests add some interesting twists. Sanborn and Crow join him on an impassioned "Little Wing," and however unusual the combination of Blige and Clapton might seem, it actually works surprisingly well on "Not Gon' Cry" and the medley "Be Happy/You Bring Me Joy." Bob Dylan arrives at the encore for enjoyable versions of "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" and "Crossroads." Though it's not Clapton's most inspired concert video and the disc offers little in the way of extra features, it may still please his hardcore fans.
