AllMusic Review by

Shortly after Sarah Vaughan's death in 1990, this CD of previously unreleased live and radio performances was put out by Vintage Jazz Classics. The singer is heard in several different settings and excels in all of them. She sings two songs with a studio orchestra in 1949 (including Duke Ellington's "Tonight I Shall Sleep"), jams with her trio around 1961-62 (Woody Herman guests on clarinet for four songs), performs two short selections with Duke Ellington in 1951 and shares the vocal spotlight on "Love You Madly" with Nat King Cole and with Joe Williams on "Teach Me Tonight." Sassy's fans will want this very interesting release.
