AllMusic Review by

Founded in Alabama in the 1940s by Howard and Gussie Mae Goodman, the Goodmans (also known as the Goodman Family, the Happy Goodman Family, and the Happy Goodmans) developed into a classic gospel quartet with a lineup of Ruth, Sam, Rusty, and Bob Goodman, later joined by Vestal Goodman and the only non-Goodman family member, tenor Johnny Cook. This set, which is the same as the release Best of the Goodmans [Live], features the group performing its best-known songs at concert venues like the Ryman Auditorium, the Georgia Dome, Tarrant Convention Hall, Bethel Tabernacle, and the Whitewell Metropolitan Tabernacle, and live in the Gaither Studios.
