AllMusic Review by Andy Kellman

If Icon, a single-disc compilation with 12 tracks, doesn’t get the job done -- and it really should not, considering the depth of the Jodeci catalog -- there’s Icon 2, a two-disc, 24-track set released at the same time. With the exception of the minor hit “Let’s Go Through the Motions,” each R&B-charting Jodeci single appears on the first disc. The second disc puts the spotlight on K-Ci & JoJo by including all but one of their R&B-charting singles. The only one that is missing is their cover of Bobby Womack's “If You Think You’re Lonely Now,” taken from the soundtrack to Jason’s Lyric. It’s an unfortunate omission. Even so, this anthology contains a rather generous amount of excellent ‘90s R&B (though there is a lot of dead space between the two discs).
