AllMusic Review by

I Love Country: Hits of the '60s is an excellent mid-line collection that contains 20 hits. Although the packaging is a little skimpy, all of the recordings are the original hit versions, which makes the compilation an excellent choice for casual listeners and the budget-minded. Among the highlights on Hits of the '60s are Patsy Cline's "I Fall to Pieces," Glen Campbell's "Wichita Lineman," Bobby Goldsboro's "Honey," Buck Owens' "Act Naturally," Bobbie Gentry's "Ode to Billie Joe," Ferlin Husky's "Wings of a Dove," Sonny James' "You're the Only World I Know," George Jones' "Tender Years," Roger Miller's "King of the Road," Merle Haggard's "I'm a Lonesome Fugitive," Jimmy Dean's "Big Bad John" and Tammy Wynette's "Take Me to Your World."
