The mid '90s finds Jude Cole in a much darker mood and I Don't Know Why I Act This Way reflects that. With such cuts as "Joe" taking on spousal abuse, with great narration from Keifer Sutherland, and material ranging from "Move If You're Going" to "Heaven's Last Gasp," there isn't much of the happy pop sound that listeners were used to from Cole. Perhaps that is why this disc failed to match his past triumphs, however small. Moody, but not without hope, "I Don't Know Why I Act This Way" is acquired listening.
