Hot Shot may be the best record Lee "Shot" Williams has yet released, due both to the quality of the performances and songwriting. He has re-recorded many of his older singles for the album, giving them appropriately greasy, energetic performances. Unfortunately, the production is a little too polished to make Hot Shot really sound like a rockin' juke joint, but there's no discounting the passion in Williams' performances.
