AllMusic Review by

This is an interesting, if often-eccentric LP. Drummer Shelly Manne and a variety of L.A.-based musicians of the mid-'70s (including pianist Mike Wofford, bassist Chuck Domanico, Tom Scott on flute and soprano, guitarist Tommy Tedesco, trumpeter Oscar Brashear and Victor Feldman on vibes and piano) perform unusual versions of eight veteran Cole Porter standards. The somewhat spontaneous arrangements are full of unpredictable moments and, even if everything does not work, the surprising nature of the performances holds one's interest throughout.
