AllMusic Review by

14 previously unreleased demos from 1966-69. Vocally, Big Boy Pete sounds a good deal like Reg Presley (of the Troggs). His compositions are odd, rather gentle pop-psychedelia, as you might glean from song titles such as "The Treacle Dance," "Music Created By Dust," "Sheer Lunacy," "1, 500,000 Volts," and "Captain of My Toy Balloon." It's not as fruity as this capsule description might lead you to believe, but there's nothing as good as the devastating "Cold Turkey." That cult classic, disappointingly, is missing from this compilation, although you can find it on AIP's Electric Sugarcube Flashbacks Vol. 4.
