AllMusic Review by

Hits You Remember, released by the always questionable Madacy label, isn't the kind of Patti LaBelle compilation you might expect. It pulls from only five of LaBelle's albums, most of which were released during the late '70s and early '80s. "Don't Bring Me Down" and "All Girl Band" come from 1974's LaBelle; "Dan Swit Me" and "I Think About You" come from 1977's Patti LaBelle; "Don't Let Go" and "Eyes in the Back of My Head" come from 1978's Tasty; "Deliver the Funk," "Come What May," and "My Best Friend Was Good Enough" come from 1979's It's Alright With Me; "Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie" comes from 1981's The Spirit's in It. The disc fails to function as a fair representation of these albums. So, it's pretty much pointless.
