Hollywood's Hits From 1955 is the kind of collection that should set off alarm bells in the minds of discerning music buyers. The "Original Artists" splashed across the front with no "Original Recordings" to match is a sure sign that you are dealing with re-recorded versions of the songs on the collection. Sure enough, mixed in with originals are a few modern updates of classic songs. "Earth Angel" by the Penguins and "Blue Suede Shoes" by Carl Perkins are presented here in vastly inferior versions here, to name a couple. Add to that the scant number of tracks (ten) and the repetition of artists (both the Platters and the Gaylords have two songs each), and you have a cheaply made, poorly presented package that is of little use to anyone.
