AllMusic Review by

The second volume in Profile's jungle retrospective, History of Our World moves past early breakbeat to encompass hardstep, jazzstep, and techstep. Like the first, it stretches beyond most breakbeat compilations to capture tracks by most of the crucial labels and producers circa 1995-1996. There are several Metalheadz classics -- Adam F's "Circles," Alex Reece's "Pulp Fiction," Goldie and the Rufige Kru's "Fury," Asylum's "Da Bass II Dark" -- and excellent tracks by Aphrodite, LTJ Bukem, Photek, Jonny L, Omni Trio, Ray Keith, and Technical Itch as well. One of the best and most wide-ranging drum'n'bass compilations ever available in America, History of Our World, Pt. 2 approaches crucial status.
