AllMusic Review by

While there have been nearly countless compilations culled from Johnny Cash's Sun years, this one from Charly (where else?) is as complete as it gets. Containing 60 cuts spread over three discs, it contains all the original Cash classics such as "Ballad of a Teenage Queen," "Hey Porter," "Get Rhythm," and "Folsom Prison Blues," among others. But more than this, it contains five rarities: undubbed versions of "I Love You Because," "Good Night Irene," "Fool's Hall of Fame," "Belshazzar," and "New Mexico." Yes, the first version of "I Walk the Line" is here, along with all of his Hank Williams and Don Gibson covers. Simply put, this is the one to get over anything that's come out domestically.
