Each volume in Capitol's Hip Hop High series provides an accurate, unbiased snapshot of the rap world for the period being covered. However, each disc only contains a slim number of ten tracks (filling out roughly half the space a CD allows), and the range of styles presented on each volume unapologetically shoots from one end of the spectrum to the other -- whether it's gangsta rap from the West Coast, jazz-rap from the East Coast, pop-rap from one-hit wonders, or any point in between, these discs will only appeal to a select type of person who needs these songs and can appreciate every single flavor of rap music. The third volume covers 1994-1995 and features Craig Mack's "Flava in Ya Ear," Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise," Wu-Tang Clan's "C.R.E.A.M.," and Bone's "Thuggish Ruggish Bone."
