Carnie and Wendy Wilson, formerly of pop combo Wilson-Phillips, deliver corny sugarplums on Hey Santa. Except for the co-penned title track (with guest vocal appearance from uncle Carl Wilson), it's all standard material ranging from "Little Drummer Boy" to "Jingle Bell Rock." The music blends the cuddly pop of their previous group with a lukewarm Phil Spector/girl-group sound. Beach Boys fans will want to note "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus," a 1977 track from the family vaults with papa Brian on piano.
