AllMusic Review by

This 10-inch vinyl LP brings together various rehearsal takes and demo tapes from Sellars Recording Studio in Dallas 1957 and Gene's living room of "Lotta Lovin, '" "Hey Mama (Say Mama)," the solo acoustic "My Love In Love Again" (which also starts the record with a brief interview snippet of Gene introducing this version of the Blue Caps), "Lady Bug," "The Night Is So Lonely" and "In My Dreams." The second side features a radio segment of Gene and the band playing live on the Big D Jamboree at the Dallas Sportatorium in 1957 over CBS Radio. The set consists of "Bluejean Bop," "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," "Dance to the Bop" and "Lotta Lovin'," with the Blue Caps just wailing behind Vincent. For the Vincent completist, to be sure, but still not to be overlooked.
