As compilations go, this one completely reflects truth in advertising. The folks who produce this series for Starbucks Entertainment must have had a ball digging up the hits of summertimes past to include here. While this set won't necessarily make you want to drink coffee, it will make you want to dance. Some of the cuts included are "Fingerpoppin' Time" by Hank Ballard, Fats Domino's "I Want to Walk You Home," Bob & Earl's "Harlem Shuffle," the 45 version of "Green Onions" by Booker T. & the MG's, Jimmie Rodgers' "Kisses Sweeter Than Wine," the Clovers' "Love Potion No. 9," and a couple of surf jams to boot in Dick Dale's "Miserlou" and Jørgen Ingmann's "Apache." Even Huey "Piano" Smith makes an appearance here with "Don't You Just Know It." There are 18 tracks in all, the price is right, and as seasonal comps go, this one, random as it is, is tough to beat.
