Headstrong Review

by Brian O'Neill

This eponymous debut shows the Canadian quartet to know a good thing when they pilfer it, as the whole disc rages against a red hot 311 with a decidedly Caucasian rap-rock mélange that sounds like it's been heard before, but only because it has. The riffs are stale, the infusion of different cultures equally tedious, and the best thing that can be said about Headstrong -- that they are generic and average, and not outright bad -- is also the worst quality of the band.
