AllMusic Review by

A combination of two pieces ("Heads" and "Tales") consisting of 19 tracks and composed during 1992 and 1993, Heads & Tales presents a furious synthesis of Stefan Weisser's own "wild style" acoustic percussion, plus a variety of samples and other electronic/percussive elements. Recorded by Wharton Tiers and mixed by Glenn Branca, it's not only one of the best Z'ev albums since his return to U.S. shores, it's one of the best period.
