This 16-song collection of radio transcriptions, dating between 1937 and 1942, is somewhat weak as a representative collection, as these are all vocal numbers, featuring either Ozzie Nelson or Harriet Hilliard (Nelson). They sing appealing duets on "Breathless" and "Two Sleepy People," among other songs, and the work, separate and together, has an easy and easy-to-take style, lively and engaging. This isn't the best vehicle to hear the Nelson band's work, although they play well with a smooth swing style on most of this material. The sound is better than good.
