One more in that implausibly endless collection of Hawkwind outtake and live cut compilations, this package's attempt to at least offer a career-spanning view of the band is shattered, of course, by the sheer redundancy of the material contained therein. From the formless jams that survive from festival performances in the early '70s through the transitional Hawkwind/Hawklords period and on to the wealth of material that apparently has no fixed provenance whatsoever, Hawkwind 1967-1982 is just one more LP to stack up on the shelf, knowing that you will probably never listen to it again. In fact, you might already be wondering why you bought it!
