Hard Drive is one of those riddims that is so basic and hard that you need a tight melody to go over it in order produce a decent track. Hard Drive doesn't have the crossover appeal of the Diwali riddim, so only the most hardcore dancehall fan will be able to make it through this collection. Lady Saw sounds triumphant and Beenie Man does just fine with both of his appearances, but Sean Paul never clicks on his cut. Past the superstars, Famous Face takes a winning and rapid approach, while Callaloo Man sounds obtuse enough to sub for Ol' Dirty Bastard if the Wu ever need him. With Hard Drive being such a limited riddim, one wishes Greensleeves would have kept it to one volume.
