Although Brazil is known for having a very active and creative jazz scene, the music found on Happy Hours, Vol. 2: Teclados is very surprising. Although it is still technically Brazilian jazz, the brash horns and complex percussion are replaced by keyboards, lots and lots of keyboards. This is smooth jazz, crafted for maximum relaxation, and any trace of the traditional spicy Latin touches that usually accompany music like this has been erased. Happy Hours, Vol. 2: Teclados is actually good for what it is, but that is faint praise for what is essentially the epitome of bland jazz.
