This succinct best-of includes songs from many stages of country music giant Johnny Cash's career, from the 1950s vintage "I Walk the Line," "Big River," and "Get Rhythm," to the recording of Kris Kristofferson's "Sunday Morning Coming Down" that gave Kristofferson his first major music business break. Of course there's also Shel Silverstein's "A Boy Named Sue" and a great version of Steve Goodman's "City of New Orleans," but it's Cash's own songs that best exemplify his crucial importance in the world of contemporary music.
