Guitar Tribute to Sting isn't the worst of the bunch -- "Englishman in New York"'s tidy cocktail lounge reggae shuffle is nice enough, and "If You Love Somebody Set Them Free" has a near-Motown quality to its karaoke feel. But even with its plain as day title, the musician hired to perform these covers feels compelled to sing. And when he does, Guitar Tribute to Sting becomes a weak collection of capable yet completely vacant cover songs.
