Jann Arden's first greatest-hits album was released in 2001 -- eight years and four studio albums after the Canadian songstress swarmed radio stations with "Will You Remember Me." Because of this, it's no surprise that the bulk of this album plays like Arden's five-times Canadian platinum sophomore album, Living Under June; however, this collection is made valuable because of the presence of two soundtrack-only recordings ("You Don't Know Me" and "If It Be Your Will"), as well as a live cover of "Insensitive," the biggest single of her career well into the new millennium. At 73 minutes long, however, this is a true buy because it never misses a hit. The title of the album, Greatest Hurts, is a perfectly Arden-esque name that reflects on the career of a singer who has made a fantastic career out of beautifully crafted love songs and darker-themed pop music.
