There's nothing on the packaging of this Sister Sledge Greatest Hits (released by Silver Star, a German label, in 2005) to notify the consumer of its nature. It contains drastically inferior re-recordings; no original versions appear. Even if it did contain the original versions, it would still be far too skimpy to recommend. Most compilations of this kind at least mention the re-recordings somewhere on the back sleeve, but Silver Star apparently didn't think it was worth mentioning. Either that, or they are deliberately trying to rip people off. If you're on a budget and want a proper Sister Sledge compilation, go for the short but sweet Essentials, a disc released in 2002 by Rhino.
