The Forester Sisters' harmonies sound great on this Greatest Hits collection from Warner Bros. Including the hit singles "Lonely Alone," "(That's What You Do) When You're in Love," and "Just in Case," the album also features a clutch of almost-hits that don't stray very far from their established formula. The sisters' mix of husky and high end harmony is dominant throughout, and there's a near-constant flirtation between country-pop and adult contemporary, especially on the cloying "I Fell in Love Again Last Night." This sort of sound was quite popular in Nashville during the Foresters' 1980s heyday, but it's received quite a few updates over the years, and this fact dates some of the material here. But the collection still offers fans of the group an almost-comprehensive keepsake, and will provide a solid introduction.
