AllMusic Review by

Lester Flatt & the Nashville Grass never attained the level of popularity that Flatt's work with banjo legend Earl Scruggs did, but his late-'60s and mid-'70s work with the youthful Grass still produced some of the finest traditional (and even slightly progressive) bluegrass of that era. Assisted by a youthful mandolin player named Marty Stuart, Flatt demonstrates his genial voice and fine guitar pickin' on these ten tracks, highlighted by revisions of old favorites "Foggy Mountain Special," "All the Good Times Are Past and Gone," and "Roll in My Sweet Baby's Arms."
