This two-LP set from 1981 served as a decent sampler of Keith Jarrett's Impulse recordings of the 1970s. Heard with his finest group (which also included Dewey Redman on tenor, bassist Charlie Haden, drummer Paul Motian and sometimes percussionist Guilherme Franco), Jarrett is featured on six different occasions from a five-year period. Most (but not all) of the music has since resurfaced on CD. It is best to get the four-CD set Mysteries instead, although this was a good sampler at the time.
